He has once again set the record straight by proving that he can rhyme literally ANYTHING.
Eminem, Marshall Mathers, or Slim Shady, is often seen showing off his skills. He has sold over 220 million albums worldwide, with more than 50 platinum album certifications. In one of his old interviews, Eminem explains how it pisses him off when people say that nothing rhymes with the word ‘Orange’. In a conversation with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, he explains how it’s easy to rhyme several words with orange. The ‘Godzilla’ rapper explains that nothing rhymes with the word if it is taken at its face value. However, many options are available after changing the enunciation.
Eminem proves his skills by rhyming words with ‘Orange’
Eminem starts explaining, “The word orange doesn’t rhyme with anything and it kind of p****s me off because I can think of a lot of things that rhyme with orange.” The rapper then breaks down the process of rhyming the word. He continues, “If you’re taking the word at face value, and you just say ‘orange’, nothing is going to rhyme with it exactly. If you enunciate it and make it more than one syllable, or-ange, you can say, like, I put my or-ange, four-inch, door hinge in stor-age and ate porr-idge with Geo-rge.”
Eminem has talked about his struggling school days a lot in his songs. He has stated that he was bullied and is a dropout. However, the rapper explains that he was always good at English if not in any subject. Eminem says, “No matter how bad I was at school and no matter how low my grades were sometimes, I was always good at English.” Moreover, the rapper apparently read Dictionary. He says, “I want to be able to have these words at my disposal, in my vocabulary at all times whenever I need to pull them out.”
